News from our International Partners: A new Brand Identity

August 13, 2015

Our international partner, GeoPost, revealed its new international commercial brand identity:  DPDgroup in March this year.  DPDgroup becomes the trademark brand and the name of GeoPost’s parcel delivery network, which will unite the four commercial brands DPD, Chronopost (France), SEUR (Spain) and Interlink Express (UK) under one roof.  In South Africa, DPD Laser will adopt the new brand identity in a phased approach over the next two to three years.

The rebranding will support the group’s international growth strategy.  Christian Emery, GeoPost Chief Operating Officer Europe, highlighted as the main reason for the rebranding being the recognition of the brand and common identity in Europe as well as the coherence and unification that hasn’t existed in this form until now.*

“The design of the cube reflects our simple and straightforward approach to our business:  experts in delivery.  DPDgroup is the only international parcel delivery network to own the key symbol of its activity:  the parcel.  The red cube is an evolution of the previous DPD logo, it expresses pride in the past, while being resolutely modern and future-oriented,” GeoPost explained in their announcement of the rebrand.*

The rebranding follows GeoPost’s strong growth in recent years.  Over the past 10 years, GeoPost volumes have multiplied by more than 2.5 times to 864 million parcels in 2014 and turnover has risen from 2.4 to 4.9 billion euros.  Benefiting from its strong presence in domestic markets, GeoPost’s intra-European and international activity also increased strongly in 2014, with volume growth of over 12%.
